Well I guess steam is much better then dark smog clouds of CO2. And we do have a desert mountain to put the used rods in, or at least we should. As long as no homers work there I think we will be safe.

thats a great shot and the world should be powered by nuclear, otherwise we will suffer the alternative, coal power, but people are dumb for the most part and are affrad because it has the word nuclear in it and because of one screw up in russian and three mile island, but no matter the fact that thousands die each year in coal plants and mines and the climate impact. Nuclear could save the world, not destroy it. Great photo

trouble is the waste needs to be contained for thousands of years - it's not a sustainable solution. Fingers crossed for the european fusion experoment.

I'm almost agree with you. With a good control over Power stations and transparency to public.

Now that I'm done saying my piece to the nuclearphobes...

I didn't know cooling towers could do that. It looks eerie...

Also, armed with knowledge of how nuke plants actually work (more than most others posting on this series it seems), it's also reassuring, since that steam signifies that much less electricity generated that results in coal smoke being dumped into the atmosphere.
